She was predeceased by: her husband Layton Phelps; her parents, Roy Simpson and Gaynell Gill Simpson Callahan; and her brothers, Jasper Simpson of Leland Simpson, O. W, Harold Simpson and Wince Simpson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Scipper (Butch) of Marks, MS, Karen Stephenson of Tulsa, OK, Leigh Graves (Joe) of Tunica, MS and Amy Phelps of Aylett, VA; her brothers, Wilford Simpson of Dewitt, AR and Russell Simpson of Dewitt, AR; and her grandchildren, Emily Anderson (Lee), Layton Scipper (Alexis), Cameron Sosebee (Ray), Anna Watson (Matt), Corinne Wise (James), Kat Richards (Alec), Chaz Stephenson (Meredith), Barlett Graves (Mary Ashton), Jake Graves (Kayne) and Ellen Clements (J. C.). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
