She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskell Ross Turner, Jr. and Dorothy Drake Turner; and her husband Robert Cecil Phelps. She is survived by: her siblings, Ann Turner Dahl, Haskell Ross Turner, III (Pam) and James Grady Turner; her sister-in-law Stephanie Wilson Phelps; and her close friend Lisa Berryman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gatesville Baptist Church (3162 Gatesville Rd, Crystal Springs, MS 39059). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Gatesville Baptist Church and the Brookhaven Humane Society.
