With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Hendrix of De Kalb, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on May 18, 2026 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Jo Hendrix; his son Mike Hendrix; his children-in-law, Linda Millsaps and Jack Bobo; his sisters, Bessie Manning and Gracie Mozingo; and his parents, Guy Hendrix and Vernie Hendrix.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Bobo, Glennda Aust, Mark Hendrix (Kathy), Chuck Millsaps, Tanya Hendrix and Mandy Gay (Russ); his grandchildren, Brandi Lumpkins (Jeremy), Megan Skaggs (Tommy), Dakota Aust, Dylan Bobo (Olivia), Leah Robinson (Connor), Jena Mason (Jackson), Duane Hendrix (Allison), Bryce Hendrix (Gabby), Dakota Gay and Ethan Gay; and his siblings, Charlotte Gibson (Frank) and Wayne Hendrix (Cathy). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
