She was predeceased by : her parents, C. M. Rushing and Eva Rushing; her husband Larry S. Meador (Scotty); her brothers, Wallace and Kenneth Rushing; and her son Kevin Brent Meador.

She is survived by : her son Darryl Scott (Yong); her grandson Justin Scott; and her siblings, Voncille Mills (Wayne), Debbie Clemons and Harold Rushing (Barbara). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
