She was predeceased by: her husband Starlen Wilson; her parents, Chester Watkins and Maggie Watkins; and her siblings, Rufina Gully, Jamima Powell, Alpha J. Watkins and Omega Herrington.

She is survived by: her children, Marcus T. Wilson (Faye), Aaron Wilson (Karen), Lowell Wilson (Lisa) and Miriam Watson (Tommy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Spring Hill UMC Cemetery Fund: c/o Janet Nester at 11 Nester Road, Dekalb, MS 39328.
