She was predeceased by : her husband Bernard Rush; her parents, Hollis Welch and Margaret Henson; her sister Sandra Hooper; and her stepdaughter Teresa McRae.

She is survived by : her children, Tim Stephens and Hope Stephens; her stepchildren, Sharon Madison (Keith), Carol Ann Pittman (Jim) and Joe Rush (Melissa); her grandson Jamie Stephens; and her nieces, Nancy Valles, Angela Taylor and Tanya Mathis. She is also survived by 11 other grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
