With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel Dollar of Diamondhead, Mississippi, who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Hazel had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Hazel may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Sonny" Pharis, and Mary Louise Pharis, Sr. (Yates); and her siblings, James Leo Pharis, Jr. and Mary "Tut" Wood. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Rae Dollar of Diamondhead, Denise Wayne (Matt) of Long Beach, Jessica Dollar (Mike Duffy) of Denham Springs and Nicholas Dollar (Ashley) of Diamondhead; the father of her children James Ray Dollar of Diamondhead; and her siblings, Kay Pharis, April Pharis, Matthew Pharis (Charlotte) and Mark Pharis. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-granddaughters as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
