He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin C. Lightner and Clarice Trocesshett Lightner; his siblings, David Lightner, Robert "Bobby" Lightner, Kevin Lightner and Elizabeth Lightner; his daughter Adrianne Lightner Platt; and his pet Sampson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy J. Lightner; his son Scott Lightner (Angie); his sisters, Mary F. McMahan, Christine Cabaniss, Janice Johnson and Ida Wilhelm; and his pet Precious. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
