It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Bird of Diberville, Mississippi, born in Biloxi, Mississippi, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sigurd Nielsen and Mary Shelton; her husband Paul C. Bird; her children, Ronald Bird and Amelda Krohn; her siblings, Sigurd, Robert, Curtis Nielsen and Mary Kate Manuel; her daughter-in-law Judy Bird; and her great grandchild Clinton Bird.
She is survived by: her children, Paul V. Bird (Sherry), Jimmy Bird Sr. (Clara), Margie Bird and Linda Girten (Skip); her children-in-law, Blaine T. Krohn and Jeanette Delahoussey; and her grandsons, Michael Bird, Randy Bird, Jimmy Bird Jr., Blaine W. Krohn, Adam Suggs, John Bird and Zachary Girten. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home - West Jackson (13872 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39532). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home - West Jackson (13872 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39532).
