She was predeceased by: her parents, James Leslie and Faye Melton Bennett; and her stepson James Michael Shirley. She is survived by: her husband Mike Shirley; her children, Jennifer Chandler, Santana Alexander, Emily Tompkins, Lee Wilson, Chris Wilson and Jeff Wilson; and her siblings, Pat Vance, Wanda Mullen and Jimmy Bennett. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
