It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Melton (Durant, Mississippi), born in Duck Hill, Mississippi, who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Mary Sykes and Elbert Sykes; her children, Patti (Allen) and Eddie; her brother Lamar; her grandchildren, Shelley, Carley and Alex; and her great grandchildren, Lucas, Reid, Miles and Vivienne.
