As Marilyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marilyn leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Oda Patton and Janice Joan Andis Patton; her husband Thomas Ray Dillard; and her brother William Merle Patton. She is survived by: her daughter Amber Huey (Jeremy); her granddaughters, Ainsley and Emily Huey; her stepchildren, Kevin "Bo" Dillard (Tammy) and Wendy Brown; and her siblings, Diana Patton (Richard) and Steve Patton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ecru Baptist Church (550 Main St, Ecru, MS 38841). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
