He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Sharplin and Elizabeth Sharplin (Lizzie Carr); his wife Sally Sharplin; his siblings, Lester Sharplin, Edward Sharplin, Javis Sharplin, Jerrell Sharplin, Samuel Sharplin, Magdalene Baggett, Erma Hilton, Ann Cedatol and Hilda Mae Myers; and his son-in-law Keith Stormant.
He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Thompson of Pearl, MS and Purvis Sharplin (Linda) of Mendenhall, MS; his children, Michael Sharplin (Shelia) of Morton, MS and Janet Stormant of White Springs, FL; his grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, K. J. Stormant (Mary Ann), Andy Stormant (Nenah), Jeffrey Stormant, Nick Denton (Nicole), Nikole Hilson (Daniel) and Nathan Denton; his great grandchildren, Christian Dedmond, Shelley Stormant Presley, Elliot, Elise Stormant, Bradley, Anna Kate Denton and Ella Hilson; and his great great grandchildren, Peyton Dedmon, Aaron and Asher Presley.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones and Son Funeral Home (18 Moselle-Seminary Rd, Moselle, MS 39459). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the County Line Missionary Baptist Church of Ellisville (689 Oak Bowery Rd, Ellisville, MS 39437).
