With sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Peavy (Enterprise, Mississippi). Barbara, born on October 23, 1946, passed away on October 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Relius Collins Pouncey and Gertrude Mary Pouncey; and her husband John L. Peavy. She is survived by: her children, John Michael Peavy (Kelli) and Leisa Cunningham; her grandchildren, Heather Lewis (Daniel), Alicia Estes (Kanyon), Breanna Hand (Tyler), Jacob Cunningham (Lauryn), Olivia Peavy and Madeline Peavy; her brother Steve Pouncey (Debbie); her niece Suzanne Hoover (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Brett Lewis, Arley Estes, Jude Estes and Oliver Hand.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church (4092 Co Rd 24, Enterprise, MS 39330). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
For many years, she worked in the laboratory at Rush Foundation Hospital, serving with dedication, diligence, and care.
