He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rue, Sr. and Rachel Apperson (Whittley); his uncle Danny Ray Whittley; his grandparents, Roy Whittley and Myrtie Whittley; his uncle Jimmy Wayne Johnson; and his aunts, Sandra Johnson and Thelma Morrison.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rue; his sons, Jonathan Rue (Janaye), Adam Rue (Sarah), Charles (Brittney) and Niko Martinez; his grandchildren, Addison Rue, Luke Rue and Alayna Rue; his brother Brandon Vaughn (Sharon); his stepfather Ken Apperson (Robin); and his cousins, Keith McCary (Nancy) and Robert Johnson (Jessica). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wright's Funeral Home (119 E Church St, Quitman, MS 39355). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel (119 E Church St, Quitman, MS 39355).
