We announce the death of Jonie Merle Melton Kidd (Enterprise, Mississippi), who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 94. Jonie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rube Melton and Hattye Melton; her former husband B. R. Kidd; and her grandson Kevin Harper. She is survived by: her husband Bobby Ray Kidd; her children, Randy Kidd (Linda), Julie Parker (Kevin) and Mark Kidd (Jackie); her grandchildren, Krystal Turner, Amanda Randall (Chris), Jonathan Parker (Courtney) and Will Kidd (Kamrie); and her great grandchildren, Kylee Raye Dewitt, Darby Dewitt, Aubree Randall, William Parker, Emma Kidd, Kyzer Kidd and Lilly Kidd.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Enterprise Baptist Church (400 River Rd, Enterprise, MS 39330). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Orange Cemetery (366 Co Rd 315, Pachuta, MS 39347).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the children or youth programs at Enterprise Baptist Church.
