Arlis Woods Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arlis Woods of Ethel, Mississippi, who passed away on December 8, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Arlis departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Arlis. Though Arlis may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Marybell Woods (Burns) and Jeff Woods; his grandson Sawyer Armstrong; and his nephew Kevin Woods. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Woods (McElroy).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jordan Funeral Home (855 MS-12, Kosciusko, MS 39090). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church (3329 Pope St, Ethel, MS 39067).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrim Rest Cemetery Fund.
