“My Mississippi name is Bubba Johnson, but I am now known as Bob. I grew up in Greenwood. I met Melvin my freshman year at Mississippi State (1963-64). He was the coolest dude I had ever met. He was into music and dancing with pretty girls. We were fast friends for a couple of years. His roommate at MSU was David Styers from Paducah, KY.
