She was predeceased by: her parents, Aleine Green Walker and Isiah Walker Sr.; her husband Samuel Carter; her siblings, Isiah Walker, Jr., Tommie Walker, Doris J. Rollins, Dorothy W and Turner; her grandchildren, Jerell Banks and Joshua Hawkins; and her son-in-law Jerry Danner.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel K. Carter, Roderick Carter (Raquel), Vincent Cater (Nicky), Vinton Carter, Deborah C. Danner, Jacqueline C. Sullivan, Lyvette Banks (Gene) and Lyvonne Hawkins (Reese); and her cousin Mary G. Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the West Gate Funeral Home (156 Medgar Evers Blvd, Fayette, MS 39069). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church (7077 Stampley Rd, Fayette, MS 39069). A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at 41 Cemetery Rd, Natchez, MS 39120.
