She was predeceased by : her parents, Katie Fulton Green and Lloyd Green; her husband Vernon Cole, Jr.; and her siblings, J. W. Green, Marrion Green, Lucille Graves, Rosanna Lenoir and Getta Singleton.

She is survived by : her children, Darryl Cole, Vernon Cole III (Jennifer), Carolyn Cole, Linda Cole, Cassandra Cole-Williams (Rickey) and Tamara Cole Haith (Reggie); her sister Betty M. Butler; her daughter Helen Rankin (Lenon); and her grandchildren, Teresita Scott-Dillard (Edgar), Quinones Scott and Charles Scott. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
