He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bennett and June Bennett; his in-laws, Virgil and Alice Hickman; his brother-in-law Joe Hickman; and his nephew Jeffery Hickman.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Hickman Bennett; his sister-in-law Laura Smith; his nieces, Kim Soileau, Kelley Smith, Shelia Hickman and Sheila "Bo" Hickman; his cousin Tamie Norwood (Charlie); his half-brother Charles Bennett; and his pets, Kat and Goat. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
