She was predeceased by : her parents, J. T. Howell and Liza Clatie Barrett Howell; her husband W. D. Peden, Sr.; and her son Robert Peden. She is survived by : her children, William D. Peden, Jr., Cecil Peden and Patricia Walter; and her daughters-in-law, Brenda Peden and Luanne Peden. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church.
