He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Eckles of Flora, Mississippi; his children, Elizabeth Eckels and Shannon Eckles (Stephanie) of Flora, Mississippi; and his siblings, Melba Eckles of Clinton, Mississippi, Cindy Eckles of Clinton, Mississippi and Richard Eckles of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
