He is survived by: his children, Robert "Trooper" Hales, Jr. (Connie), Ricky Hales (Ray), Scott Hales (Dawn) and Dixie Kirk (Danny); his siblings, Alton, Peggy and Paulette; and his grandchildren, Tonia Pyles (Matthew), Jennifer Hales, Robin Miller (Kevin), Amber Hales, Christopher Hales (Christy), Taylor Kirk (Tara), Austin Kirk, Ian Hales and Layla Hales. He is also survived by his thirteen great grandchildren.
