She is survived by: her husband Herb Akers; her son Jim Roberts (Dixie) of Yazoo City; her grandchildren, Brody Roberts, Tate Potter (AnnaCole) and Lanie Potter of Yazoo City; her great grandchild Hamp Potter; and her siblings, Gerald Yates of Brandon, MS and Hilda Yates Hester of Texas.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home - Flowood (114 Burney Dr, Flowood, MS 39232). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Crestview Memorial Gardens (1106 Star Rd, Brandon, MS 39043).
