She was predeceased by : her parents, Louise Taylor Nelson Boal and Fred Langley Nelson; her husband Woods B. Cavett; and her siblings, Fred Langley Nelson, Jr. and Martha Nelson Gordon.

She is survived by : her sons, Clay Cavett (Laura) of Oxford, Fred Cavett (Sandi) of Jackson and Woods Cavett (Tavia) of Madison; her grandchildren, John Cavett (Ginny) of Hoover, AL and Madeline Cavett of Oxford; her sister-in-law Caroline Bradley Cavett of Lookout Mountain, TN; and also, Harry and Wyatt Cavett of Hoover, AL.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family suggests memorials to Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, 305 N. Congress St, Jackson, MS, 39201 or the Ole Miss Alumni Association.
