With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph Alexander Purvis of Flowood, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He is survived by: his wife Janie Lydick Purvis; his daughter Mary Mitchell Todd; his son-in-law William Gardner Todd, IV of Alexandria, Virginia; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Louis Todd and William Gardner Todd; his brothers, George Dewey Purvis (Nancy), John Marvin Purvis (Gayla) and Mitchell Mark Purvis (Dixie); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lydick Rogers and Walter Edwin Lydick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
