She was predeceased by: her parents, William Purvis and Amy Smith Grice; her husband Larry Jean Hess; and her sister Ina Faye Grice Gordon. She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Hess of Brandon and Michael Richard Hess (Martha) of Memphis, TN; her grandson William Wesley Hess of Winston-Salem, NC; her sister Anita Grice Wood; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Hess, Janice Kay Hess, Janice Strawbridge and Glenn Hess. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
