The passing of Sherrill Dale of Flowood, Mississippi leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 80. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Davis Newton Starnes and Ruby Campbell Starnes; her grandson Campbell Grady Dale; and her brother Bartlett Campbell Starnes. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Leon Dale; her children, Holly Dale McMullan (Mart) and Dr. David Leon Dale (Jill); her grandchildren, William Robert Seymour, Avery Lum Dale, Stella Grace Dale, Connor Mart McMullan and Samuel Lee McMullan; her brother Davis Newton Starnes (Lynn); and her caregivers, Mechelle, Lisa, Jeane, Sandra, Bobbie and Sherrill.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (6000 Old Canton Rd, Jackson, MS 39211). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wintergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Campbell Bulldog Fund or The Mind Center.
