Ted Carter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ted Carter of Flowood, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 26, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ted departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ted may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ted leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Carter and Christine Brooks Carter; his stepfather Millard Burgess; and his siblings, David Carter, Nancy Wilson and Laverne Eaton Malone.
He is survived by: his wife Dolly Devers Carter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home (114 Burney Dr, Flowood, MS 39232). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home (114 Burney Dr, Flowood, MS 39232).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church 400 Grants Ferry Rd. Brandon, MS.
