Cindy (age 61) passed away at Forest General Hospital from complications related to heart surgery. At the time of her death, Cindy the Nurse Manager over the Medical Department at the Forrest County Regional Jail, Hattiesburg. She graduated from Pearl River Community College Nursing School in 2019, where she was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, National Technical Honor Society with 3.43 GPA, and National Association of Licensed Practical Nurses. Later she became credentialed as a Correctional Licensed Practical Nurse for Southern Health Partners, Inc.

Her early career was also in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistance, Personal Care Assistant, and Lab Phlebotomist. However, she spent her middle career years as a Retail Store Manager, Industrial Construction Supervisor, and Office Manager. She held various technical certificates such as welding, quality control, OSHA safety, Microsoft Office software, and nursing license.

She loved crafts and was talented at flower arranging, acrylic painting, woodworking, and canning fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, going to the beach, traveling and spending time with friends and family. We will miss her sweet smile and compassionate way of always wanting to help others. Cindy was the daughter of Mary Dueitt Crocker and James William Frye, Sr, who predeceased her. She is survived by her brother James W. "Billy" Frye, Jr; sister Stephany Lake; her son James Watson and his children Cora, Macie Watson, Titus, and Amos; granddaughter Taylor McDonald; "special" daughter Billy Jo Preeman; many extended and "adoptive" family, professional colleagues, members of the community, friends, and many more.
