It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary L. Risher of Forest, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on September 15, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Lydia Myrene Henderson Turman and Maben Brooks Risher; and his siblings, David Ray Risher and Victoria Turman Adkins. He is survived by : his wife Nelda Greer Risher; his children, Jan Risher (Julio Naudin), Robin Risher (Tracy) and Rusty Risher Olive Branch (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Casey Quick (Taylor), Jake Risher (Alex), Greer, Garet Buck Risher (Andrea), Piper Naudin, Will Risher, Sam Risher and Henry Risher; and his great grandchildren, Tripp, Brenlynn, Tucker Quick, Oak Risher and Josephine Joy Risher. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Risher family encourages those wishing to remember him to make contributions in his memory to Gideons or to the Gary Risher Bearcat Fund which will provide for students to participate in extracurricular activities in the Forest School District.
