He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin William Goolsby and Nellie Ruth Goss Goolsby; and his siblings, Alvin Arthur, Martin Earl, Grover Fredrick Goolsby and Dorothy Goolsby.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sam, Tony Goolsby (Maedean), Mildred Risher (Sammy Windham) and Iva Nell Wilcher (Danny). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
