It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Gunn Sr. (Forest, Mississippi), who passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Johnny may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Johnny touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley Sanders Gunn; his parents, John Gunn and Mildred Gunn (Wilson); and his children, Shelly Gunn Burns and Johnny Wilson Gunn Jr. (Kristyn).
