She was predeceased by: her husband James Ellis Mitchell; her parents, Hilton Thurman Weems and Etta Irene Weems; and her siblings, Alice Jean Patterson and Richard Thurman Weems.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Mitchell (Susan), Jan Mitchell Maner (Tony) and John Mitchell. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
