She was predeceased by: her parents, William Newsome and Elizabeth Newsome; her husband James Sistrunk; and her sisters, Shirley George and Dorothy Newsome.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Sistrunk; her siblings, Irene Coley (Tim), Bobby Newsome and Jimmy Lee Newsome; her caregiver Ramona Sessums; her grandchildren, Abigail Hager, Aubrey Hager and Karlie Holmes; and her friends, Victoria Hamilton and Earl Steele. She is also survived by four grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Wolf Funeral Services - Morton Get (3054 Old Hwy 80 E, Morton, MS 39117). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at the Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery (7292 Old Hillsboro Rd, Forest, MS 39074).
