She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Calhoun and Nelia Calhoun; her husband James Martin Hamilton Sr.; her stepfather Spurgeon Young; and her siblings, Irene Townsend, Latain Blossom and Walton "Dub" Young.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Scales of Morton, Linda Campbell (Rocky) of Newton and Mart Hamilton (Becky) of Morton; and her sisters, Sherrie Johnson (Fred) of Morton, Lucy Young of Vicksburg and Shelley Plett of Vicksburg. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forest Presbyterian Church.
