He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Faye Boykin; his parents, J. L. Boykin and Willow Dean Boykin; and his son Robert Boykin. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Boykin and Greg Boykin (Teena); his daughter-in-law Felicia Boykin; and his sisters, Mary Harris, Carolyn Knowles (Kirby) and Brenda Edgar. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
