With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Seymour of Foxworth, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2025 at the age of 77. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Carol had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Carol may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Seymour; and her parents, Edwin McDowell and Ida Bond McDowell. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Seymour of Columbia, MS; her sister Milli McDowell of Ocean Springs, MS; her sibling's children, Amy Jackson and Tom Iverson (Emily); and her great-nephews, Will Jackson and Bennett Iverson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (323 2nd St, Columbia, MS 39429). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (1409 Hwy 98 E, Columbia, MS 39429).
