She was predeceased by: her parents, Dudley Alford and Eva Mae Alford; her husband Henry Holmes; her son Dennis Holmes; and her grandchildren, Amy Thornhill and Douglas Ray Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Stampley (Austin), Regina Raynes (Billy Jack), Betti Franklin (Gary) and Doug Holmes (Shelia); and her grandchildren, Terri Jo Stringer-Peavy (Larry), Joy Stringer (Barry), Jason Raynes (Kristi), Joshua Raynes (Kayla), Scott Raynes (Jodi), Dr. James A. Franklin, Chase Franklin and LeAnn Holmes. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (323 2nd St, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
