He was predeceased by: his former wife Sherry June McNabb Stringer; his parents, William "Billy" Stringer and Eliza Ophelia Stogner Stringer; and his siblings, Joseph "JW" Stringer, Alton "Buck" Stringer, Kenneth "Dick" Stringer, Edgar "Gene" Stringer, Franklin "Frank" Stringer, Jerry Stringer, Donald Stringer and Quida Rogers Helen Wade.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Fortenberry Stringer of Foxworth; his children, Shannon Holmes (Katie) of Memphis, Tammy Robbins (Mike) of Foxworth, Tanna Stringer of Sumrall, Cheree Sanders (Steven) of Hattiesburg and Jeanie Coward (James) of Hattiesburg; his sister Bille Sue Breakfield of Hattiesburg; his grandchildren, Sabrina Garner (Keith), Lindsay Rivero (Alex), Sherri Lankford (Robbie), Bailey Robbins (Hayley), Allie Sanders, Emma Sanders, Daniel Coward and Eli Benjamin Coward; and his great grandchildren, Riley Garner, Avery Garner, Kavan Rivero, Paislee Rials, Price Rials, Wylder Rivero, Daniel Robbins and Spencer Robbins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (508 New Hope Church Rd, Foxworth, MS 39483). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers , the family asks that donations be made to the Renovation Fund at New Hope Baptist Church or to the New Hope Community Christian School.
