She was predeceased by: her husband Everett Stringer; her parents, Alfred Hartzog and Stella Hartzog; her siblings, Letha Gray (Jim), Melvin Hartzog (Louise), Lucious Hartzog (Georgia), Felder Hartzog (Maxine), Charlie Ben Hartzog (Patsy), Daisy Thomas (Berlie) and Clara Hartzog; and her daughter-in-law Peggy Davis Stringer.
She is survived by: her children, Everett Alan "Pud" Stringer (Lucy), Wanda Morgan (Ken), Vicky Wesley (David), Debbie Stringer (R. L.), Tammy Haney (Michael), Sedgie (Kathy) and Melinda Trahan (Michael); her brother Tony Breland (Carol); her sister-in-law Theomae Stringer; her grandchildren, Krystal Morgan, April Crozier (Kevin), Krae Morgan (Maggie), Matthew Wesley (Amanda), Dustin Stringer (Shelley), Grant Wesley, Lauren Gillis (Scott), Halee Reed (Jeremy), Evan Stringer (Makayla), Shannon Loftin (Ryan), Tanner Trahan, Treves Trahan (Allison), Brooke Southerland (Branan) and Drew Rainer (Amy); and her great grandchildren, Skylar, Taylor Graves, Cole, Daleigh, Davison, Declan Crozier, Collin Haney, Cayde, Sykes Loftin, Brayden, Jackson Stringer, Madison, Andrew Reed, Kenedy Morgan, Shelbie Klaire, Ella, Lane Stringer, Lucy, Jake Wesley, Will, Sarah Gillis, Natalie, Patrick Southerland, Peyton and Jackson Rainer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (508 New Hope Church Rd, Foxworth, MS 39483). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at the Lott Cemetery (243 Stringer Loop, Foxworth, MS 39483).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to New Hope Baptist Church's "Operation Christmas Child Fund.".
