She was predeceased by: her mother Ouida Conerly; her child Mikel Whitehead; her granddaughter Abby Whitehead; and her daughter-in-law Lucy Whitehead. She is survived by: her sons, John Whitehead of Texas, Charles Whitehead of Foxworth and Larry Whitehead of Foxworth; and her grandchildren, Misty Buckley (Polan) of Sumrall, Crystal Upton of Columbia, Eric Whitehead (Tammy) of Foxworth, Diana Whitehead of Texas and Christina Whitehead of Hattiesburg. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hathorn Funeral Home (167 Old Hwy 98 E, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations made to Kokomo Chapel.
