She was predeceased by: her parents, P. J. Hammonds and Maude Renfroe Hammonds; her husband Dudley Stringer; her daughters, Belinda Sue "Cookie" Stringer and Karen Jerkins; her siblings, Claude Hammonds and Elaine Ball; and her son-in-law Richard Adcox.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Adcox of Sandy Hook, Molly Stringer of Foxworth, Karl Stringer of Foxworth and Kenneth W. Stringer (Judy) of Kokomo; her brother Carroll Gene Hammonds (Dana) of Myrtle Beach; her grandchildren, Chip Adcox (Allison), Derrick Jerkins (Krystal), Dustin Jerkins, Shannon Stringer (Charlotte), Karla Robertson and Mandy DuBose; her great grandchildren, William Stringer, Hunter Stringer, Georgia Adcox, Kaplan Adcox, Callie Jerkins, Caitlyn Jerkins, Hunter Haddox, Haley Haddox, Presley Haddox and Parker Harris; and her son-in-law Johnny Jerkins of Foxworth.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hurrican Creek Baptist Church (227 Hurricane Creek Church Rd, Sandy Hook, MS 39478). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund.
