He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Mae Green Owens and Homer Owens; and his siblings, Eddie Owens, Dorothy Jamerson, Reba Hankins, Ruby Sturdivant, Mary Joyce Busby, Jean Bates, Hilma Sue Dulaney and Judy Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Lynne Huddleston Owens. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
