He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Adams and Dessie Johnson Adams; his siblings, Virginia Adams (Cookie), Leroy Adams, Lois (H. C. McDougle) and Kenneth (Catherine Adams); and his parents-in-law, Jack and Eva Chilcoat.
He is survived by: his wife Gail C. Adams; his sons, Carson Wallace (Stephanie Whitaker) and Clay Adams; his grandchildren, Sawyer Wallace, Saylor Wallace, Cori Jo Bridges, Cam Whitaker and Evelyn Whitaker; his sister Leevay; his brother-in-law Terry Benton; his brothers, Roy Adams, Billy (Gloria Adams) and Ricky (Debbie Adams); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy and Danny Digby. He is also survived by nephews and nieces and a multitude of close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Johnny's name, to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, P.O. Box 901, Fulton, MS 38843.
