Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Rebecca Janiece Yerby Strickland of Fulton, Mississippi, who passed away at the age of 85, on October 27, 2025. In the vast expanse of eternity, Rebecca shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rebecca farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Pascal Newton and Mattie Ruth Cash Yerby. She is survived by: her son Tom Strickland (Tammy) of Jacksonville, NC; and her brothers, Sidney Yerby of Steens, MS, Richard Yerby of Japan and Joe Yerby (Mavis) of Tupelo. She is also survived by Seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home-Fulton (401 S Cummings St, Fulton, MS 38843). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
