He is survived by: his wife Sherry Knighten; his mother Glenda Seaman Broderick; his children, Mark Knighten II, Kyle Knighten (Jennifer), Katy Kalb (Brett), Gabrielle Knighten, Lindsey Pitts (Jeremey) and Brandon Lathan; his grandchildren, Paisley Knighten, Skylar Knighten, Easton Knighten, Max Knighten, Joseph Sprinkle, Josey Sprinkle, Landon Knighten-Kalb, Hunter Kalb, Kaley Kalb, Thomas Knighten, Johnathan Knighten, Adleigh Pitts and Aubreigh Pitts; his siblings, Tim Knighten (Peggy), Jacob Toney IV (Jeri) and Jennifer Broderick; and his pet Sadie Knighten. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church (12581 Saeger Rd, Grand Bay, AL 36541). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
