He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Haygood and Mary Chaney (Rose Metzker); his brothers, Robert Haygood and Jerry Haygood; and his brother-in-law Jim Register.
He is survived by: his wife Duyen Haygood; his children, Thomas Haygood (Kaori), James Haygood, Doris Haygood, Linda Mazzone (John) and Sandra Shaffer; his siblings, Gary Haygood, Donald Shearer (Maynette), Marcus Ebba (Sue), Douglas Ebba, Patricia Register, Deborah Davis and Vicki Haygood; and his grandchildren, Phillip Tran, Sarah Tran, Jacob Soder (Abbie Pylant), Alexander Haygood (Jia), William Haygood, Lucas Haygood, Erika Case, Mackenzie Case and Troy Case. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The military honors will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (300 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39530).
