He was predeceased by: his father William Horace Hayes of Buckatunna, MS.; his grandparents, Joe, Isabelle Nix, Ernest and Doretha Hayes; and his brother Rodney Nix.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Pauline Pierce; his wife Gwendolyn Evette Nix; his mother-in-law Dorothy Perryman; his siblings, Cheyenne Hayes-Brand (Ethan) of Montgomery, AL, Alexander White of Montgomery, AL, Dupree Hayes (Michelle) of Chicago, IL and Aundre Hayes of Chicago, IL; his siblings-in-law, Angela Dukes (Bobby), Rosa Goodman, Brenda Reese (Michael) and Randolph Perryman, Jr.; his cousins, Claudette Hill and Joseph Sowell; and his close friends, Michael Smith and Derrick Giddens. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
